CAS retake review: Diagnose errors by task, not only by topic
A result may reflect conceptual gaps, incomplete explanations, basis errors or time pressure. A topic label alone can hide the mechanism. Review your own allowed practice work and identify which task types repeatedly cause problems.
Worked example or practice scenario
An error log distinguishes “calculated unpaid using incurred,” “selected a factor without discussing a distortion,” and “answered calculate but omitted recommend.” These problems call for different practice exercises even if they all involve reserving.

Choose a targeted drill for each cause and assess it on fresh examples. Use official released practice resources and content updates. Do not collect or share unreleased exam questions as a retake strategy.
